About This Spot
Anna Kitchen 1 feels like stepping into a small slice of Vietnam nestled within the heart of Jelutong. The moment you arrive, there’s a certain unhurried warmth that invites you to slow down and soak in a space that’s simple but attentive to detail. It’s a casual local eatery where the hum of conversation blends with the soft clatter of bowls and chopsticks, creating a cozy atmosphere that doesn’t overwhelm, but gently welcomes you to linger.
The pace here is relaxed, reflecting the rhythms of a home kitchen more than a bustling restaurant. There’s a quiet pride in the way the food arrives — not hurried or flashy, but honest and satisfying. Familiar scents of herbs, garlic, and spices mingle delicately with the rich aromas of simmering broth, drawing you into a shared moment between the kitchen and your plate. While parking nearby can be a challenge, many find that the walk over only adds to the anticipation, preparing you for the comfort that awaits inside.
Dining at Anna Kitchen 1 is a gentle exploration of flavors and textures that feel thoughtfully layered. Whether it’s the crunch of crisply pan-fried Vietnamese pancakes, the soothing warmth of a well-steeped pho, or the vibrant freshness that comes with spring rolls — every bite speaks of quiet care. The dishes come in generous portions, encouraging a slow savoring rather than a rush, inviting you to enjoy the conviviality of shared meals and the little rituals of Vietnamese coffee or dipping sauces accompanying each mouthful.
Conversations here often drift toward memories of meals shared and discovered flavors, with servers who bring a warmth that makes you feel less like a customer and more like a welcomed guest. It’s not a place for showmanship or spectacle; instead, it’s a comforting retreat where the simple joy of honest, well-made food takes center stage.

Reasonably priced, tasty Vietnamese food. Cosy and clean environment. Abundant sauces and garlic available. Almost impossible to park or stop here, so you will have to park somewhere else and walk over.

I tried out this place and found it to be super delicious. The portion sizes were good, and the prices were quite reasonable. If you're around, definitely give them a try!

Probably the best new Vietnamese place in town. Completely satisfied with all we ordered. Pancake crispy on both sides, with medium-sized fresh prawns. Beef pho authentic. Beef wrapped in leaves is something one rarely finds, and the BBQ pork on vermicelli was delicately flavoured. Packed the leftovers and they did it very nicely too. Would definitely revisit. *Parking is extremely limited - best to park right in front of the shop

Enjoyed the very authentic Bún bò Huế here (spicy beef soup noodle). The Bánh mì (Vietnamese sandwich) was pretty good too. The environment was simple and lively. Warm hospitality from the servers. The only downside is, parking can be a nightmare, so either be prepared to walk from far, or go there with a scooter.

Small hole in the wall restaurant in a heritage house, serving up simple yet delicious Vietnamese food. The mini shrimp pancakes are delicious and served piping hot.

This Vietnamese restaurant serves delicious pho with a perfect broth, rich, aromatic, and full of depth. The noodles are tender, and the meat is fresh and flavorful. The banh mi is also a standout, the bread is crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, just as it should be. The char siu fillings are well-balanced, with fresh herbs, and savory meats. Overall, a great spot for authentic Vietnamese flavors. Highly recommend the pho and banh mi!
